Strawberry Tea in the Garden at Moreton Brook Cottage on Sunday 17th July 2016
The weather was kind and there was no denying the generosity and kindness of everyone who helped to make this a most enjoyable and successful event. The list of people to be thanked is extensive - Joy & Sam Pownall and their family for kindly allowing us to hold the event at Moreton Brook Cottage; their family who moved all the furniture and equipment for us; Mrs Carol Critchley of Lower Reule Farm who kindly donated the strawberries; Charles Jeffries for the plants and for selling them; the musician who sat and entertained us through the hot afternoon; all the non-members who donated produce and loaned us equipment and also turned up to help out on the day; all the WI members who provided raffle prizes, plants, produce and equipment and gave up their time to make it all work; and all those people who cheerfully turned out on a hot July afternoon to spend their money and make it a perfectly delightful day. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Our grateful thanks to you all.
